The Age of Exploration & Some Great Exam Notes

The Age of Exploration and Europe’s increasing power is the focus for this week.

Chapter 23 Exploration

ALSO I found some notes that another APWH teacher has created for her class and I thought they might be useful for you to print at home for your own reference in order to help you get the overview of each period. At the moment we have completed period three and are beginning period four. I will be creating a QUIZ from these notes which we will do together in class which reviews period three and four, this quiz will also prepare you for an assessment next week on BOTH of these essential periods. Note;Period Five is where we are heading, no need to study for this yet!

In addition here is a video about the Zheng He the powerful warrior who became admiral of the fleet and he undertook several voyages. Watch the first 20-30 minutes to get the main idea, it’s quite interesting!

Medieval Europe

This week our focus will be on Western Europe during the High Middle Ages, the formation of regional monarchies in France and England, the formation of Universities, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine and the Crusades. Here is the Prezi we will be going over in class;
